What’s happening with Pridemug?

Hey everyone.  I’ve used the easter weekend to update the website. I’ve decided to re-open my Etsy Shop, and attach the domains http://www.pammesberger.com and http://www.markstshirts.com to the shop and create a pattern website to host my Etsy shop. I thought I reconnect Etsy because some people use it and it gives my designs a wider audience. I still have to figure out how to better sort the products and avoid that the same designs appear twice on the main page like as a mug or as a T-shirt… The reason I’ve stopped using Etsy was that the fees are really high when you sell something and you have to pay on top for showcasing a product on the website and for the website itself. So it’s most likely a minus each month unless you get lots of orders but then the fees are also a lot.  I have also started a Shopify store this easter weekend. All the pride products I have created are already online in Shopify, Shopify and my own website http://www.pridemug.uk will have the same items because as soon as I create them they will go online there because there are no extra fees for adding a new product. I hope that because of the way Shopify works I will get more exposure and have people buy my designs and t-shirts. Also the other designs will come online bit by bit. I have made more than 600 designs and not all of them are yet on a T-Shirt or coffee mug. http://www.pridemug.uk is still showing my own website and blog and you can create your own design there for free and I will print it or select one of my many created designs. From Hot Water Bottle to Fan

Ever since I moved from London to Whitley Bay some 3 years ago I’ve always felt cold at home. My home never reached more than 8 to 10C in the spring/summer without adding heating. Even with the heating on it’s never been more than 17c/20C. so quite cold and most of the time I used to sit at home around with two jumpers on or two pairs of socks or a hot water bottle or a blanket. Whenever I went to bed even during the summer I went to sleep with a hot water bottle to keep warm. A couple weeks ago a friend at work suggested to buy two Dehumidifiers one for the back and one for the front of the apartment. The two should solve the problem and you should get a warm apartment my work colleague said. It has worked miracles really. I’ve had those two dehumidifiers work day and night and in general I need to empty the water bucket twice a day and they are full each time, and the average temperature in the apartment went up to 20-24C without everything. No need for putting the heating on or sitting with a hot water bottle. Having grown up with Air Condition in all rooms ever since I can remember, I’ve not been used to the concept of Dehumidifiers in a home as an air condition filters humidity automatically and that was something totally new to me. But it has worked. the last couple nights it was so hot in the apartment I was sweating. That has never happened to me before since I moved here from London I was always cold. Honestly I’m rather hot than cold and I had to open the windows during the night and turn the dehumidifier off because google said it won’t work properly with the window open. It is one amazing experience. as I said I got two of them, one is sitting in my living room that works for the living room, kitchen and entrance hall and the other one is standing in the back hall and covers the two bed and bathrooms and the office. It cost me something in the £500’ds to buy them both but it was a really good investment and I expect my gas bill to go down as I won’t need to put on the heating in the evening as I had before. I always had the heating on even in the summer from 4am to 7:30 and from 7:30 to 10:00pm. At the same time saying that maybe my electricity bill might go up because the two machines are running almost 24/7. But I am getting the humidity levels down. when I started off the humidity was at 75% to 90%. Now it is down to 55 – 60% which is a great improvement.  How do you like my Blog? Busy Week

Wednesday I was back at my day job working from home on my Union day. I so much wished my vacations would have lasted a bit longer it was definitely to short, but hey Christmas is coming soon and I booked the 20/12 to the 7/1 off. So I really hope I get all the days I was booking…  I’m really glad it’s Friday tomorrow and that the week is over. I know you’s say it was a short week but well enough to do. Thinking of Christmas I have designed a lot of Scratch Cards lately to give to my faithful customers. So I made branded cards for Avon, Amway, Nutrilite and The Body Shop. Maybe it was a task a bit to big and not thought through properly I could have just made one or two with just my own branding on. But this way, I can make it more related to what people purchased from me. Not sure what’s better really. I’m happy with my designs, and some you can see below. I can’t believe everyone is already talking about Christmas it’s still quite a while but the shops already sell advent calendars and Christmas packaging. What a strange time. The next thing that was going on was Ralf. My Lurcher dog, I decided after I have been fostering him for some time to adopt him so when I get paid next month I will take the steps necessary to officially adopt Ralf as my pet. He’s so much a member of the family already and I can’t imagine him that someone else would adopt him. He’s such a wonderful dog and yes he has issues from his past but I have enrolled him in Reactive Dog classes with the Dogs Trust and an extra sessions with behavioural specialists. Its not cheap but as every member of the family and as the commercial for Olay says He is worth it… On the next side you see some pictures of Ralf I am sure he won’t mind them being shown… This afternoon I tried the first print run of the scratch cards, on my Minolta Bizhub c450i printer and the business card cutter, in fact the cards are going to be business card size and at the back they’re going to have my contact details so customers know who gave it to them  but the margins are still a bit off so will be going back to the drawing board tomorrow afternoon and make sure I fix the problem, and then hopefully the back and front page will aline properly and I can get it printed. It’s been a long run to get that far. It is however very satisfying feeling to know it’s been done and now I can print it… I was hoping to get some training Videos to watch and get my Cameo 4 Pro that I purchased for my Birthday. Can you believe I still have not used it? Well with having started to re-design my MWP-Design Website I’ve not really had the time for that. I hope I can manage maybe this weekend. I would really like to know how to use it especially since I purchased the Business License for the Silhouette Studio yesterday. At least it’s only a one time license and not an annual fee a lot of software you have to re purchase every year now but by the looks of it with them it is a one time thing and you need it to run the Cameo 4 Pro.  Anything you want to read about? Sunday

Hey ya’ll. I hope you had an as amazing Sunday as I did today. It was a perfect day sleeping in, taking a walk with Ralf along the coast of Whitley Bay. I love those days and I really love taking walks along the beach or coast. It was amazingly sunny and pretty warm with about 23C that’s about 73F, it wasn’t too hot or too cold just right. Like a mild sunny day in spring at home. But considering that we’re already in September it was great. Weather here in Whitley Bay is not really what I call in my comfort zone, it’s ways toooo cold for me. The hottest day we had this summer was 25C that is what we have in April at home, it’s usually quite cold here. The only really nice thing is the sea and beach. However unlike in Miami you can’t swim in the sea because the water is too cold. Living here for me is a big compromise, and I would trade it for Miami, or Los Angeles, or Texas any time. When it comes to temperature my comfort zone is starting at 24c or 75F below that it’s not really something I like I can tolerate it as I can put multiply layers on but nothing I would choose really.  If you like my blog, just share it with your friends. MWP-Design

oday I have decided to give MWP-Design an overhaul. It will receive a complete new design and navigation. It will also get a new online designer, where people will be able to design everything themselves or they can change an existing design. I hope when I have changed the design that the website will get me orders. The last design clearly has not worked because over the last 6 months I’ve not had a single order or request, so something was clearly off. I’m also re developing the content that I am going to display. Maybe I do a more personal approach no idea if it’s working or not but worth a try. I will post pictures of the new site design, once it is completed. I am working hard on it during my annual leave from work to get it all up and running again. It is not just an investment in time to re arrange everything I also invest some money into the site. The new online designer I will be using can connect right with my Minolta Bizhub printer and once an order has been placed and is paid for it automatically can send the order to the printer. That is an huge advantage.

My Atlanta

WorkUSAAtlantaLife Hello beautiful people. Today I am writing about some beautiful memories that I really feel I want to share with myself and friends.  In 2009 that’s a while back already I worked in Atlanta, GA and I really enjoyed the time there and I loved the climate, the people, food and well work was cool too. I have stayed with some amazing people close to the city center. I worked downtown and while I was there met great people and made some new friends. I’ve often looked back at my time in Atlanta as I wanted to stay there for longer. Work was wonderful experience and got me a bit more behind the scene of a big TV network and news. I learned a great deal and it was fun on top. Although, people at the company expected you to be there all the time, and available even when you had your day off but it was great. The learning curve went up really steep and if you know Atlanta then you know what news network is based there and you can guess where I used to work. International news was fun.  Well I hope it’s not too much to share 30 pictures but yeah I thought they were nice and give some good insights into my Atlanta experience.  Do you like my blog? Another Post today

Probably you’re getting bored but I must admit I think that no one really reads my blog except myself. But that’s okay it’s a great tool to express myself and to write stuff down that’s on my mind. It’s the first day of my annual leave and I already regrett I did not book more than 5 days off. But that’s something I can’t change right now… Some of you know that I’m part of a dating platform called Mutual. I’ve over time written with a couple ladies but nothing seemed to have been working out so I’m really thinking about deleting my profile maybe I am meant to stay single who knows but at times it’s really frustrating. There’s so much really I want to share but I guess I can share it with my blog. It would be really nice to have someone to go out with and do things together or plan things… we’ll never mind. As you know my Mum is visiting and I enjoy her being here. I mean at least my Guest bedroom is getting used and she likes the “Paris” room as I call it because it is furnished and decorated to remind me on when I lived in Paris. I too really like the room. It is small but cosy. However sometimes I wish she’d pack her bags and go back home again soon… But she is going to stay while her house is getting renovated in Vienna because she does not like the dust and noise from the construction work that is ongoing for at least the next 12 months. So lets hope they finish quicker than that… Guest Bedroom – Paris As I said the Paris room is a really nice and cosy room I like it a lot and it is the guest bedroom in my apartment. I think I decorated it okay… What you think? The black dress picture is an original design from a fashion company and I was lucky to get it. Then I found the Paris picture with the fall leaves and the Eiffel Tower light and the crystal ceiling light complement the room. I really do like it….  If you’re wondering what this blog is about, it is about me and me alone. Out of office

WorkMe timeVacation Out of the office Out of the office does not mean nothing to do. I got myself a Cameo 4 Pro for my Birthday this May and guess what I have not used it once. I want to use my time off to find out how to use it and maybe complete one or two projects on it so I get some experience. I know that it will be a great tool to use for my Mugs and T-Shirts or clothing in general working with Vinyl or to make stickers or decals for wall and windows. It’s just the thing that you need the time to teach yourself. Mind you having said that I also want to go to town and walk around the shops and have a good time on the beach or the coast here in general… So I think for actually only having a week off it is enough to do.   As some of you know I do create T-shirts and Mugs myself and print them using a sublimation ink printer and heat press myself. I made a new T-Shirt design the other day and really get so excited to use Vinyl in the future. My T-Shirt and Mug designs are currently sold in two of my shops in MWP-Design and at PrideMug I also do a lot of custom made stuff, so people send me their images like pictures or drawings or text and that is getting printed on a Hoody, T-Shirt, mug, Slate Stone and so on. I really like doing this a lot.

Where I have lived

This I am asked a lot Especially when the people find out that I am not English then the next question usually is where are you from and the one that follows is usually where else have you lived by where did you like it best…. People are made so simple… Same questions all the time… So first things first, I was born and raised in Vienna Austria. I have served a 24 month mission in the Montreal Canada Mission. So if we stay in North America for a while. My family has a holiday apartment that we use for our family holidays in Miami Beach at Seacoast Towers and as long as I can remember every school holiday or Christmas holiday we went to that apartment. So from age 4 onwards I’ve been to Miami at least twice a year. It’s a nice 4 bedroom penthouse with two balconies, and a large living room. I studied in Provo, Utah at BYU to get my BA and MBA. and lived in Salt Lake City, Atlanta GA, New York NY, Washington DC,  San Francisco CA, Subiaco AR, Gethsemane KY,  Denver Co, Dallas Tx, Texarkana TX, Miami FL, Fort Lauderdale FL, Springfield MO, Los Angeles CA,  Here in Europe I’ve lived and worked in several places. Munich Germany, Berlin Germany, Leipzig Germany, Vienna Austria, Linz Austria, London UK, Northampton UK, Whitley Bay UK, Paris France. Where I liked it best I think it is a difficult thing to put your favourite place in one sentence but generally if I take everything into account such as then it has to be the US, the people are generally much more friendly then here in Europe, easier to talk to, and weather wise well you can’t get it any worse then here in the North of England where it’s even only 20C in the summer.  American food is generally good and the prices are lower than in many European countries. While all the immigrants that came to the US over the centuries have left their traces in cooking and culture. Honestly I’ve not experienced such a rich culture anywhere else. Yes here in Europe we have a great past but we have in many places forgotten to take that past to the present. So this is a little bit about the places I have lived, I could probably write many more posts about each and every city I’ve lived at which I might do in the future. Birthday

The annual big event of my birthday is coming up next week on May 3rd and I am still having my shopping list at Amazon it’s the same I had for the last couple years and over time friends and family got me stuff off the list for my birthday and Christmas and other events.
